My Music Journey
Every artist has a moment when music stops being something they listen to and becomes something they are. For me, it happened quietly, somewhere between the old Bollywood songs playing at home and the first time I sang one back and felt it belonged to me too.
Where it started
I grew up with music all around me. Bollywood classics, Gujarati folk songs, the golden voices of legends like Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik — these weren't just songs in our home, they were the soundtrack of everyday life. Long before I ever recorded anything, I was the person singing along to every track, learning melodies by ear, and holding onto lyrics the way other kids held onto toys.
Somewhere along the way, I went from singing along to singing on my own. The first time I shared my voice with people outside my family, I was nervous — but the feeling afterward told me everything. This was what I wanted to do.
Finding my voice online
Sharing my music with the world started with a simple decision: post the video. Today, I share covers and performances on Instagram — from soulful Arijit Singh tracks to old Bollywood gems like "Thoda Sa Pyar Hua Hai," and Gujarati songs that connect me back to my roots. Some videos reach people I've never met, in places I've never visited. That's the magic of putting your voice out there.
Moving to Canada added a new chapter to the story. Life in London, Ontario is a long way from where my musical influences were born, but distance has a funny way of making you hold your culture closer. Singing Gujarati and Hindi songs here isn't just performance for me — it's staying connected to home.
"Tu Jo Mila" — my own melody
Covers taught me how to sing. Writing taught me who I am. "Tu Jo Mila" is a melody I wrote and composed a long time ago — one of those pieces that lived quietly with me for years before I finally gave it to the world. Releasing an original is a different feeling entirely. A cover borrows someone else's heart; an original exposes your own. That song is close to me because it waited so long, and hearing people respond to it made every year of waiting worth it.
Where the journey goes next
I'm still writing, still recording, still learning. There are more originals on the way, more covers of the songs I love, and more moments I can't wait to share.
This store, and every design in it, exists because of the people who listen. If you've ever liked a video, shared a song, or worn one of my designs — you're part of this journey too.
